Twin Dragons Martial Arts & Fitness

Twin Dragons Martial Arts & Fitness strives to provide the quality martial arts and aerobic kickboxing instruction. That is why we feel that it is important to have qualified instructors to ensure the best possible learning experience. Our karate intructors are certified and recogized internationally by the World Tang Soo Do Association. Our Cardio Karate instructors are certified by the National Association of Professional Martial Artists. The certification process invloves many hours of training, supervised instruction and testing.

Wilson Smith began the study of the Korean art of Tang Soo Do under Master Sung Duk Cho. For the past 20 years he has been involved in practicing and teaching the Korean Art of Tang Soo Do. In 1997 he was awarded his Sam Dan (3rd Degree Black Belt) by the World Tang Soo Do Association. Mr. Smith is also recognized as a Certified International Instructor and a Certified International Judging Official. In addition, Mr. Smith is a certified instructor for the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) program, a certified instructor in the Cardio Karate aerobic kickboxing system, and qualified in CPR.

In 1995 he became the Chief Instructor of Twin Dragons and has worked along with the talented staff to ensure that our students' personal development outside the Dojang is as important as their "karate" development is inside the Dojang. The "whole person" must be developed for the Black Belt to take on its full meaning.

Mr. Smith graduated from Presbyterian College in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and currently works as an Electron Microscopist with the Westinghouse Savannah River Company. In those few moments when Mr. Smith is not involved with one of the many Dojang activities, he enjoys tennis and spending time (i.e. tennis, karate, etc.) with his active family.
